In the Historic Westside Legacy Keepers program, 10 high school students will be mentored by a college student. The mentors will work with them throughout the duration of the program. High School and college participants meet once a month on Saturdays from 1:00PM – 5:00PM at the Neighborhood Union Health Center.
During these sessions they will gain skills in digital storytelling, photography,as well as video and audio production. Historic Westside News will share the powerful stories produced by Legacy Keeper nationally and internationally via public access channels, film festivals, and on the Historic Westside News website.
Applicants do not need to have prior digital media experience. The class size is limited to 10 youth.
